Recession and Recovery: Taking Lessons Learned Back to the Classroom
October 22, 2010
Albuquerque, New Mexico
| Cosponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City |
|
As the U. S. economy pulls itself out of the financial crisis, a multitude of questions abound.
- Can we accurately identify the forces that led to this unprecedented global economic slump?
- What is the outlook for the U.S. economy?
- What role can monetary policy play in the recovery process?
- Are there lessons we can learn from this recession?
- Can the regional economy help in the recovery, and could we have avoided the financial meltdown with a more financially literate population?
- As educators, how can we prepare our students for making sound personal finance decisions?
Recession and Recovery addressed these questions and encouraged dialogue among the participants.
