The Summit

This year’s RAISE Texas Action Summit encapsulates the information and experience of Texas stakeholders from the previous summits and moves this process forward through four action campaigns in 2008:  Matched savings accounts, community tax centers and EITC, alternative small dollar consumer loan products and home mortgage foreclosure prevention.  Click here for more information on the four campaigns: [link to RAISE Texas website—summaries of the four campaigns]

The Purpose:

This summit will bring Texas asset-building stakeholders together in order to design action plans for the four campaigns.

Who Should Attend

Asset-building stakeholders from across the state of Texas including representatives of financial institutions; community development organizations and local governments; EITC/VITA site tax coalitions; IDA program administrators; financial and homebuyer education practitioners, credit counselors; and anyone interested in expanding asset-building opportunities for low- to moderate-income Texans.
